Lollipop Rocking Chair by George Hunzinger, 19th Century

About the Item

A wonderful "Lollipop" Victorian Platform Rocker by George Hunzinger, circa 1885. Wood is lacquered and hand-carved and in excellent, original unrestored condition. Labeled underside "Hunzinger". This model was shown in the exhibition of Hunzinger Furniture at the Brooklyn Museum in New York. It was also shown in the exhibit of George Hunzinger titled "The Furniture of George Hunzinger: Invention & Innovation in 19th Century America", circa 1997-1998. It retains the original fabric. Vintage upholstery may want to reupholster. The seat springs need to be re-tied. Dimensions: 33.5" H x 25.25" W x 27.5" D
