10 Piece Jack Cartwright Modular Sectional Sofa Seating in Bouclé, Tweed, 1970s
About the Item
Available right now, we have an exceptional 10-piece modular sectional sofa designed by Jack Cartwright. This 1970s modular sofa is absolutely stunning!
It features two tone upholstery (which was original to the piece-- when we obtained the sofa it was two-toned brown tweed and forest green).
We decided to keep the original brown / tan tweed upholstery on the seat-backs as a nod to the originality of the design and have had the seating cushions custom reupholstered in a luxurious ivory bouclé, to add a sense of sophistication and refinement.
True to Cartwright's design ethos, this modular sofa offers endless possibilities for configurations, allowing you to adapt it to your space and needs. Whether arranged as a cozy corner sectional, an expansive U-shape, or separate seating islands or zones, this versatile piece seamlessly transforms to meet your desired layout and style. This piece could easily flex into a home environment, or a business / office style seating.
The influence of other renowned designers can be discerned in Cartwright's work. This sofa is similar to the Vecta modular sofa designed by John Mascheroni, known for its innovative design and adaptability, is reflected in the modular nature of this sectional. Similarly the, Cini Boeri iconic Arflex designed modular sectional, renowned for their sleek lines and comfort, inspire the sense of effortless elegance inherent in Cartwright's creation.
This sofa is also visually similar to the Camaleonda sofa designed by Mario Bellini for B&B Italia. The inspiration can also be sensed in this sectional's adaptability and inviting allure. Like Bellini's masterpiece, this sofa beckons you to sink into its plush cushions, creating a cocoon of comfort and relaxation.
