Carlo Bartoli
Carlo Bartoli, born in Milan in 1931, is an Italian architect and designer. He created many successful works, such as the Gaia armchair, included in the permanent design collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Design Museum of the Milan Triennale. Bartoli was awarded the ADI Compasso d'Oro for Lifetime Achievement.

Established in 2006, Morentz has a team of approximately 55 restorers, upholsterers, interior advisers and art historians, making it a gallery, workshop and upholstery studio, all in one. “Down” sofa set by Carlo Bartoli for Rossi di Albizzate, 1970s Italy. Part of the Down series this set consist a 2-piece modular sofa, 4 cabinets and a coffee table. Satin black lacquered wood and upholstered in the original black leather with amazing patina. As the coffee table is as wide as the frame of the sofa it can also be placed on the corner to make an L-shaped configuration. Bold 70s Italian design thats striking to look at and has a comfortable seat. The 2 corner seats are more used so a little less high.
