Star Trek TNG Paul Boulva for Artopex Ten Forward Modular Sofa Lounge Chair Set
About the Item
We can neither confirm nor deny that these Paul Boulva modular seating group has seen screen time on Start Trek: The Next Generation, but the teal color resemblance to the Ten Forward chairs is uncanny. The iconic show aired during the 1987-1994 (Nineteen-Laties). The elusiveness of this line makes their discovery all the more exciting when considering the exceptional condition. We’re certain you won’t find a more pristine and complete set of this modular anywhere. This set includes three chair modules without arms, 2 chairs that have a single arm and one corner table (6-piece set). Each piece can be used independently as a stand alone chair or table. This set is modular… use the chairs to create any combination of loveseats, chairs, or sofas. Incredibly versatile, position or arrange the pieces as your needs evolve. Anyone of average health and strength can effortlessly move the pieces.
Clearly inspired by (and often mistaken for) the Etcetera chair by Jan Ekselius. Created by Canadian Designer Paul Boulva for Artopex in the mid-80’s, the avant-garde, free-flowing, post-modern design couldn’t be more suitable for the set of Start Trek: The Next Generation. Elegant futuristic curves with no hard lines. Take a look from the side and you’ll see the unique simplified ribbon shape. The back flows seamlessly to create the seat of the chairs. Both chairs can actually be placed side to side to create a small sofa settee.
Included in this set:
3 arm-less suspension chairs
1 chair with left facing arm
1 chair with right facing arm
1 corner table
The chairs have been professionally steam cleaned and meticulously detailed. Our staff sheared the entire set to “de-pill” lint. The black vinyl at the base was cleaned, re-blacked and conditioned. Virtually no fading or discoloring with only very minor discernible wear.

Tulip Group Lounge Chairs in Rosewood by K M Wilkins for G-Plan of England

Matching sofa also available and sold separately (see last pic).
This incredible set was purchased new in Glasgow, Scotland in 1970. We acquired from the original owners who kept them in pristine condition. Designed by K.M. Wilkins for G-Plan of England, this line is appropriately named the "Tulip Group". Wilkins also designed the the well known Housemaster Chair, often misattributed to Ib Kofod Larsen. The "Tulip" design is demonstrated by the rosewood panels which are molded into curves that mimic a blossoming flower. Offered almost exclusively in teak, this rosewood set is truly a rare find. The rich, amber-red panels are perfectly complimented by the chrome hardware and velvet fabric. The luxuriously soft velvet is in amazing condition. The color is difficult to describe, but in our opinion, it's a cross between olive-green and taupe-brown. Of course the refraction of light on velvet can magnify or minimize the tones and highlights depending on the angle and environment.

Milo Baughman For Thayer Coggin 951 Flat Bar Chrome Lounge Chairs in Grey Tweed
By Milo Baughman, Thayer Coggin
Located in Chattanooga, TN
Restored, vintage flat bar chrome lounge chairs set designed by Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin. These lounge chairs have recently been updated with period appropriate grey tweed wool fabric. The texture and tone plays beautifully against the chrome frame. The original Thayer Coggin tags were preserved, and sewn into the seats. The chairs have a sleek pitched back gangster lean that cradles you into a comfy nook. Upholstered arm rests add even more comfort without giving the chair a bulky overstuffed look. Two metal clips on each chair hold in the otherwise loose seat cushions.
