Luxurious French upholstered Louis XVI style corner settee banquette with one piece seating cushion, and 5 back cushions.
A similar Maison Jansen Corner Canapé can be seen in James Archer Bishop's Jansen Furniture book published in 2007 (p. 93).
A corner banquette in the Louis XVI Style was a favourite of 20th Century trend-setter Bunny Mellon, and makes for sophisticated yet cozy dining corners.
The corner design fits snugly into a corner of a room, maximizing space efficiency while also serving as a decorative focal point. The carved frame features scrolls and elegantly curved arms at both ends. The tapered legs are topped by classical Louis XVI rosette carvings. The beautiful pale blue upholstery adds a touch of softness and sophistication to the piece. This French Louis XVI pale blue corner canapé would be a statement piece in any room, exuding elegance and charm characteristic of the Louis XVI period.
