Early 19th Century English Regency Settee in the Pompeian Taste

This Regency settee features an elegant classical Pompeian design characterized by crossbars joined by carved medallions in the back, arm rests and between the front legs. This design offers great stability thus facilitating the diminutive frame proportions. The caned seat has been reinforced by an underlying panel and is topped by a shaped cushion of fine color and condition.
