About the Item

In this listing you will find a “Cabinett” settee, designed by Josef Hoffmann for the apartment of Dr. Johannes Salzer in Vienna, c. 1902. The settee was later on reintroduced to the wider audience by Wittmann who bought the rights on Josef Hoffmann design and manufactured in the late 1980s. The settee is done in solid walnut and upholstered in silk fabric with floral/tropical pattern. The sofa is in a good vibtage condition with some signs of time and use, such as small scratches. Fabric is in good condition, but it could easily be reupholstered in fabric of your choosing, which is the service we offer at our workshop. When purchased the settee will be carefully wrapped up and packed in a way to avoid any damages in transport. As soon as shipped you will receive the tracking number for your package. If you have any additional questions regarding this piece please feel free to contact me. Happy shopping!
