Marcel sofa settee by Kazuhide Takahama for Gavina reupholstered in hair on hide

About the Item

With is its minimalist form, the Marcel sofa is a design classic, featuring exposed aluminium brackets and has been reupholstered in sustainably sourced hair on hide. Designed by Kazuhide Takahama as part of his long standing collaboration with Dino Gavina, the sofa was named in tribute to Gavina's good friend Marcel Duchamp. Year: 1965 Origin: Italy Dimensions: H65 x W152cm x D88 cm Condition: Excellent condition with new foam and innerliner. Reupholstered in sustainably sourced hair on hide. This project used leather which is a natural product from animal hides and therefore differs from hide to hide. Variations in texture or hair might be observed but are due to the natural beauty and uniqueness of the leather. Certain dyes may transfer to lighter colours, we do not assume responsibility for dye transfer.
