A vintage Mid-Century Modern Danish set of twelve dining chairs, designed by Nils and Eva Koppel for Slagelse Mobelvaerk, known for their chair models with large backs. The side chairs are newly upholstered and fumed with Oakwood, in good condition. Minor stain on one of the chairs. Wear consistent with age and use, circa 1940, Denmark, Scandinavia. Measures: Seat: 18.25" H x 18.25" W x 17" D. Eva Koppel was born in 1916, in Copenhagen, Denmark and passed away in 2006. Nils Koppel was born in 1914, in Copenhagen, Denmark and passed away in 2009. They were Danish designers and architects. They both worked together in Alvar Aalto’s studio in Finland. They both opened their own studio in 1946.
