Chippendale Very Rare Set of Four Highly Carved Mahogany Side Chairs

About the Item

Carved shell ears with highly carved splat. Shell on center rail with carved knee returns and acanthus carved legs with ball and claw feet. Descended in the James Henderson family of New York and the James Monroe family. Philadelphia, PA., circa 1745-1765.
