A stunning early King George II Irish mahogany side chair. The serpentine top rail with central carved scallop above vase shape splat, drop-in seat above shell, carved knees on cabriole legs terminating in exaggerated pad feet. Bearing old trade label to seat rail, circa 1730-1740.
