Offering an intimate insight into the design process, Diego Faivre’s Minute Manufacture serves as a creative homage to the idiom “time is money”. With each minute of production time costing €2, the design’s final price directly reflects the time it took to make it, bridging the gap between the designer and viewer. Renowned for his use of vivid colour palettes, intricate patterns and innovative use of Diego Dough: an exclusive type of air-drying clay that leaves a satisfyingly smooth, bouncy and glossy finish – the French designer aims to elevate overlooked everyday objects to showcase that art can be found in even the most mundane of objects. Arriving in a hand-shaped silhouette, the Funky Chair is an entirely customisable design, inviting the buyer to join in on the design process. Expertly hand-covered in Diego Dough for an immediately recognisable bouncy finish, you're able to choose the shape of the backrest for a completely unique and personalised look. Made with practicality in mind, its lightweight construction allows you to conveniently move it around from space to space without struggle or worry. It can be used as a functional chair or as a quirky decorative piece for your home or workplace. Please note: As a part of the Minute Manufacture process, you are able to custom choose the colours and size of the design to suit your preferences. Given that every design is carefully handmade to order from custom-chosen materials, the colour and shape may differ.
