About the Item

Marmini II chair, Hannes Peer Dimensions: 55 W x 50.4 D x 64 H cm Materials: Fior di Pesco marble, Lelièvre Helsinki fabric Marmini II is despite its minimalistic architectural appearance a comfortable upholstered stool. It is composed of three volumes that apparently do not seem to be able to stay together, two hard parts in ‘Fior di Pesco’ marble that seem to want to detach themselves from the central part of the upholstered soft padding. Hannes Peer Architecture is an architecture and design studio that specializes in luxury retail, hospitality and residential spaces, founded in 2009 and based in Milan. The constant theme is the search for eclecticism as well as high quality in the design at all scales through the study of the close relationship between architecture, historical context and new technologies mediating between craftsmanship and industrial production. The language used in the design is stratified and eclectic, uniting poetic vision and rigorous design. The studio’s projects are recognizable by their strong iconographic identity, based upon continuous research on colours and materials and the contamination between the various contemporary languages.

Ode chair by Sizar Alexis Signed and Numered Edition of 12 Dimensions: Length 45 x width 55 x height 74 cm Materials: Burned pine wood The hexagon has more to it than we think, and some of the aspects of this shape are still mysterious. The series is an ode to the aesthetics that I fell in love with in a geometrical sculptural works of art and the interesting perfect form of the historical hexagon. It's fascinating how hexagons are part of our life but fail to realize this. It all comes down to the element that is present throughout our body, and that is carbon. The use of the form dates back to ancient mesopotamia...

Mazer Chair by Tom Fereday
By Tom Fereday
Located in Geneve, CH
Mazer Chair by Tom Fereday Dimensions: W 35 x D 35 x H 55 cm Materials: Solid Travertine. Weight: 130 Kg. MAZER COLLECTION: Mazer represents a series of geometric sculptures, each a celebration of the fundamental beauty and natural variation of stone. Strict brutalist forms of the table and seating collection are juxtaposed by soft organic cutaways carving through the porous stone surfaces, revealing the natural beauty and character of travertine. Named after the medieval term ‘Mazer’ meaning bowl, the collection presents subtle organic forms proportioned for table and seating function designed for permanence. Porous formations of the stone’s structure act as an intentional disruption to the clean geometric forms of the series adding character and intrigue. The limited edition series was crafted from travertine and locally produced in Italy from a combination of machine and traditional hand made processes, each piece exhibiting its own unique characteristics and form with no one piece alike. Mazer is designed by Australian designer Tom Fereday exemplifying Fereday’s desire to honour materiality, combining form and function to produce enduring works. Tom Fereday develops products based on the principle of honest design, conveying a design process which celebrates the materials and manufacturing processes behind furniture and products, to design from the inside out. By using the materials and environment as a positive design constraint we guide intelligent and thoughtful design outcomes which connect with people through natural materials, tactile finishes and unique design. We strive to create enduring designs which are meaningful to people and their environment. Born in Australia, Tom Fereday grew up in England studying at the Wimbledon School of Art before moving to Sydney to complete an honours in Industrial Design at the University of Technology Sydney. Working across europe and Australia Tom Fereday went onto found his sole practice in 2012.
