About the Item
This pair of French Louis XVI style painted side chairs from the turn of the twentieth century features rosettes at the die joints and seat frames detailed with classic hand carved motifs of fascia, rais-de-coeur, and beading. The curved top of the seat backs are finished with acanthus leaf finials at the corners. The seats rest on tapered, cable fluted legs finished with acanthus leaves. Upholstered in blue mohair, circa 1900.
