Pair of Willis Ohler for Erich Schultz Worpsweder Easy Chairs
About the Item
A rare pair of Worpsweder Easy Chair designed by Willis Ohler for Erich Schultz, crafted in Germany circa 1920. This beautifully proportioned chair features a solid oak frame paired with an intricately woven rush seat and backrest, highlighting the artisanal craftsmanship of the period. The generous proportions and angled back provide both comfort and striking sculptural form, typical of the early 20th-century Worpswede design movement. Rich in character with a beautifully aged patina to the wood and rush, this piece is one of two available. A wonderful and distinctive example of early modern German design, combining rustic elegance with timeless style.
