Set of 6 Queen Anne Chairs

About the Item

Set of Six 18th-Century English Queen Anne Walnut Chairs A remarkable set of six Queen Anne dining chairs, crafted in England during the 18th century, showcasing the timeless elegance and refined craftsmanship of the period. These chairs are made of solid walnut, featuring the classic curved splat back, cabriole legs, and intricate hand-carved shell motifs on the knees - hallmarks of the Queen Anne style. The chairs have a graceful silhouette, with gently curving lines that add both sophistication and comfort. The cabriole legs terminate in pad feet, a signature detail of the period. Each chair retains a warm patina, indicative of its age, enhancing the depth and character of the walnut wood. The seats are upholstered in a vintage, used fabric, which, while aged, still retains its charm. The fabric features a subtle striped pattern, adding to the historical appeal of the set. Given the age of the upholstery, a refresh may be desired for modern use, but the structure of the chairs remains sturdy and in excellent condition. Perfect for a period dining room, study, or collector of fine antiques, this authentic 18th-century set is a true piece of English craftsmanship.
