About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning solid Rosewood Sheraton revival style Chesterfield buttoned armchair dating from 1900 This item is part of a suite, I have one single chair and then another matching pair of the standard chairs, then this lovely Chesterfield buttoned armchair, both of the single chairs are listed under my other items A very ornately decorated piece, it reminds me of a lovely Hepplewhite chair I saw some time ago, the inlay and carving and the chesterfield buttoned upholstery is exquisite. This is a library reading or saloon chair so low to the ground and great for relaxing in We have cleaned waxed and polished the timber from top to bottom, the upholstery is in fine order Dimensions Height 87.5cm Width 55cm Depth 64.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
