About the Item

A pair of beautifully patinated folk art chairs made in Sweden in the 19th century. Made from pinewood with black lacquered seats. Traditionally, these primitive chairs stood in the farmhouses, where large numbers of people often lived and worked. Since this kind of primitive furniture was valuable personal property they were often stamped with the owner's initials. This is also the case with these examples.
