"Todo Modo" by Jean-Michel Wilmotte for Tecno Italy Reversible Chair

Original vintage (not a re-edition) Todo Modo single slipper chair with completely reversible rotating cylindrical back. Designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte and produced by Tecno Spa, (founded in 1953 by Osvaldo and Fulgenzio Borsani) the seating system was created in 1993 for the Louvre museum, with the aim of permitting viewing of works of art on all sides. Structure in wood and metal with polyurethane foam, exposed metal parts, covered in original silver grey fabric from Tecno. This piece is vintage original, not a reedition. Constructed using a steel reinforced upholstered wood square base with beech wood spring-slat foundation below a textile covered dense foam cushion and moveable cylindrical dense foam backrest with moveable steel arms, steel feet and embellishments which also serve as connector ports for the optional table attachments which were offered by Tecno. Includes a pillow cover in matching fabric.
