On offer on this occasion is a superb, rare B&B Italia Maxalto “Febo 2803BCT” 3-Seat Sofa dressed in an unashamedly-luxurious, deep-pile Italian-velvet in a rich, full-bodied Red.
As you will no doubt be aware by your interest in this Antonio Citterio masterpiece, B&B Italia pieces are the epitome of contemporary European furniture design, are of peerless quality, and exhibit detailing and execution of an unrivalled standard.
In a world of temporary pleasures, B&B Italia create beautiful furniture that remains a joy forever and, in particular, the sumptuously-decadent fabric-option chosen on this occasion is simply to-die-for.
Whilst clearly not perfect, this piece is in superb, beautifully-maintained condition and, showing light signs of the irregular, residential employment it has seen, is largely free from fault, flaw or damage.
Its fine order reflects the TLC and remarkably considerate use afforded it in the past and, aside from some small flaws to the velvet across the seat-cushion (which, whilst noticeable under close-inspection – as i hope is illustrated in the close-up images provided – are not terribly-obvious during normal use and, such is their modesty, and are difficult for the camera to pick-out unless fully zoomed-in), is as well-presented as could be hoped for a preloved sofa of this nature.
Please view the images provided to confirm its superb condition and impeccable appearance. As mentioned, it is not perfect due to the presence of a small number of imperfections across the seat but, aside from this, it would comfortably meet the requirements of all but the perfectionist.
The dimensions of the sofa are H-79cm, W-226cm and D-100cm, and the breathtaking seating position this iconic modern-design creates is enhanced by the use of sumptuously comfortable, generously upholstered backrest and fibre-filled seat cushioning, which leaves you powerless to resist its charms.
Costing in excess of £8,000 in this high-grade fabric-option when new, it represents spectacular value for money, and we have no doubt it will serve and delight its new owner for many years to come.
