Banana sofa, faux leather, stained wood, brass, Denmark, 1950s
This voluptuous sofa is based on a solid construction of round shapes and curvaceous lines. The seating area and the backrest are organically shaped and together with the absence of strict angles, the sofa attains a sculptural expression. The corpus is executed in a cognac brown faux leather and decorated with brass studs that emphasize the delicate form of the sofa. The piece shows traits of traditional furniture yet also has a contemporary touch.
Kindly note that this item is in good, used condition. This item contains threadbare upholstery with loose seams and small stains. Reupholstery can be done before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece contains its value and is ready for the many years to come.
