About the Item

This Danish-made freestanding sofa is characterized by the best qualities of Danish mid-century design; from the restrained aesthetic to the elegant pairing of materials, this two-seater is the perfect example of how pairing Danish design, the work of a cabinetmaker, and luxurious upholstery create exceptional pieces. The design features beautifully patinated, stained beech legs. The enveloping shape of the voluminous backrest is a signature characteristic of Danish Modern sofas. The Danish design idiom was centred on warm woods, quality fabrics and gentle yet robust support for the spine - qualities that engender contentment and well-being, a defining characteristic of Danish culture. In accordance with these qualities, this sofa was designed with the user in mind, offering great comfort for both the eyes and the body.
