About the Item

Early 19th Century Antique Rustic Swedish Gustavian Provincial Sofa from Råneå Norrbotten ,Northern Sweden. A beautiful Swedish Gustavian sofa which has been hand-scraped back to its well preserved original colour. The sofa has a lovely blue color. The seat is upholstered in a beautiful pattern fabric. The seat cover lifts up to reveal a storage space underneath. The sofa is from the first few years of the 19th century, around 1800 to 1810. A good example of Swedish 18th and 19th century compact living the sofa offers storage underneath the seat and the front also extends to what then was a bed at night. Healthy and solid frame.
