This modern slipper sofa is made out of steel and leather. Besides this slick and minimalist design, the midcentury sofa is surprisingly comfortable as well. The base of this settee gives the sofa its characteristic and open character. Most of the furniture of Danish designer duo Fabricius and Kastholm was produced by the German manufacturer Kill International, while the 'BO561' models were produced in their home country Denmark by Bo-Ex.
Preben Juhl Fabricius (1931-1984) and Jørgen Kastholm (1931-2007), both trained as architects and became friends in the 1950s. In the 1960s they started a collaboration with their shared the same core principles: perfection, aesthetics and minimalism. Although they have worked individually, it is as a pair that they have achieved their greatest success. During the eight years of partnership they managed to create a wide selection of very high quality designs. The results were often minimalistic and functional designs in steel, glass and leather. Most of the furniture of Danish designer duo was produced by the German manufacturer Kill International. This type of chairs was produced in their home country Denmark by Bo-Ex.
