A French Louis XVI period Provençal carved sofa from the late 19th century, with new upholstery, lovely fluted legs and exquisite carving. Born in Provence during the reign of King Louis XVI, this French walnut sofa features a triple curved arched back, connected to two elegant arms flanking the long luxurious seat. The arms, along with the back and seat, have been reupholstered with a double welt fabric. The ensemble is raised on eight fluted tapering legs, connected through a carved apron stunning block rosettes. # 7101
