Functionalist Bauhaus Sofa Kovona, 1930

About the Item

This functionalist sofa was produced by Kovona (formerly Hynek Gottwald, Brandýs nad Orlicí) and follows the original Marcel Breuer design, later adapted by Antonín Lorenc for Thonet. It features a chromed tubular steel frame, bent solid beech armrests, and classic upholstery. The spacious seat offers comfort while maintaining a light Bauhaus aesthetic.
