About Photos: We take our photos in a controlled lighting studio to show as much detail as possible. We do not photoshop out blemishes.
Condition: At this time, all of our contemporary furniture is sold in the same condition as it is the day it was photographed in our studio. Since our restoration shop is overwhelmed with mid century pieces, our contemporary furniture is sold in "As Is" condition for the foreseeable future. This means that unlike our mid century furniture, we do NOT automatically send our contemporary furniture through the restoration process, therefore it is not subject to our normal restoration lead times. So when you order contemporary pieces from us, they can often ship out to you a lot faster than normal. Currently we estimate that time to be within 4 to 6 weeks, but if this detail is really important to you, please contact us for an updated time estimate before ordering.
Even so, when you purchase a contemporary piece, we still devote a lot of attention to detail to carefully clean, wrap, and pack it for safe transport during shipping; plus we keep you fully informed throughout the whole purchasing process - because we want you to be happy with your purchase and tell everyone how easy it is to buy good quality furniture from us at Modern Hill.

Beside Carlos Hauner, Martin Eisler (1913-1977) was the founder for the iconic Brazilian furniture company Forma. He was born in Vienna, Austria, and studied architecture in his country. In 1938 he moved to Buenos Aires. After meeting Carlos Hauner in Brazil, he started traveling there frequently to collaborate on designs and, they founded Forma to sell their own designs as well as pieces licensed from Knoll International.
