On offer on this occasion is a rare, huge, striking “Pipeline” sofa/bench consisting of 4 identical “EJ-925-30” sections, all dressed in a modern, short-pile velvet in burnt-orange, from the world-renown Danish furniture house of Erik Jorgensen. As you will no doubt be aware by your interest in this listing, Jorgensen pieces are the epitome of contemporary European furniture design, are of peerless quality, and exhibit detailing and execution of an unrivalled standard. In a world of temporary pleasures, Erik Jorgensen creates beautiful furniture that lasts a lifetime and remains a joy forever, and there can be no better expression of that than this truly-sensational piece. This spellbinding seat comprises of 4 identical “EJ 950-25” sofa sections which, if desired, can also be used individually as required, together to form an identical pair of 320cm-wide curved seats or, as pictured, a huge 12-Seat semi-circular seating experience. Elegant, impressive and endlessly-flexible. This piece is in superb, beautifully-maintained condition, reflecting the exceptionally-infrequent employment it has seen in the past, and is entirely free from fault, flaw or damage. Its fine order reflects the TLC and remarkably-light, considerate use afforded it since its manufacture, and is as well-presented as i suspect it is possible to find one of these iconic pieces. As you might expect, there is the odd, very-very light superficial mark to the fabric and framework but, as the images provided will attest, these issues prove to be of little or no-significance and, rather than being mentioned because they detract from the beauty of the suite, are mentioned purely for the purposes of accuracy. Please view the images provided closely to confirm the fine original condition and stunning appearance of this masterpiece of large-scale seating. Whilst its current condition is likely to fall short of the requirements of the true, most-uncompromising of perfectionists due to the issues mentioned above, for all others this piece is nothing short of a dream-come-true. The dimensions of the sofa as pictured complete are H-60cm, W-560cm, W-160cm, with the dimensions of each of the 4 identical sections individually H-60cm, W-170cm and D-70cm, and the breathtaking seating position this iconic modern-design creates is enhanced by the use of sumptuously comfortable, generously upholstered composite-filled back and seat cushioning, which leaves you powerless to resist its charms. Not only does it possess an aesthetic to die for, but its seats-you beautifully too. Costing in excess of £22,000 when new, it represents spectacular value for money, and we have no doubt it will serve and delight its new owner for many years to come.
