Italian ‘Novemila 9000’ 5-Piece Sectional Sofa by Tito Agnoli for Arflex, 1960s

About the Item

The ‘Novemila 9000’ sofa was designed by Tito Agnoli for Arflex in 1969. Its low profile and modularity, consisting of four armless units and one corner section, allow for customizable configurations. Each piece, with rounded edges and deep channeled cushions, is supported by discreet, recessed legs that enhance its floating, airy presence. We elected to keep the original upholstery in order to allow our clients the option to customize this in the fabric of their choice. Upholstery services are available through our showroom (fabric + upholstery labor is not included in the purchase price). Tito Agnoli (1931-2012) was an Italian architect and designer who specialized in industrial design. After graduating with a degree in architecture from Politecnico di Milano in 1949, he worked as an assistant to Gio Ponti and Carlo de Carli. From the 1950s-1970s he designed primarily lighting and furniture for an array of companies including Arflex, Cinova, Oluce, Poltrona Frau and Schiffini. Condition: Fair vintage condition, with wear and stains to areas of the upholstery. Reupholstery required; we have elected to sell this set in its current state so the end user can select fabric. Upholstery services are available through our showroom (Fabric + Upholstery Labor is not included in the purchase price). Additional Dimensions: Center Section: 42"W x 42"D x 25"H
