About the Item

Beautiful unique low Japanese rope and bamboo sofa, sold at Conran shop in the 1980s, with the back even more beautiful then the front. Conran is a high end shop. About themselves they write: "A name now synonymous with good design, The Conran Shop is a curated showcase of innovative and contemporary designs across furniture, lighting and home accessories. We are the home of considered design and curated living." About Sir Terence Conran: "At the heart of everything he did was a very simple belief that good design improves the quality of people's lives," his family said after he died. This sofa is in very good condition. The base has a bamboo and metal frame, covered with rope. The back is just as beautiful as the front. It is just a breathtaking piece.
