Mid Century Upholstered Bench with Wavy Backrest in the style of Paolo Buffa 50s

About the Item

Give yourself a comfortable and very stylish place to sit. This vintage Bench is functional and comfortable in an entryway, in an office or bar waiting room, or dotting the end of your bed in the master suite of your home. This bench was made in Italy during the 1950s and recently reupholstered by a professional in a gorgeous antique pink velvet. Founded on four legs of turned beech wood, its structure is handcrafted in solid wood. The shaped wooden backrest is splendid and highly decorative; the decorative wavy pattern made makes it a dreamy, cushy cloud. This mid century modern bench or sofa, depending on how you want to define it, with its straight and sculpted backrest recalls the articles designed by an important Italian designer: Paolo Buffa. Paolo Buffa's creations are very elegant and charming, characterized by the use of precious materials and the almost exclusive use of craftsmanship, in order to create particular shapes such as the backrest of our bench. Marble, decorated sandblasted glass, brass plaques, sculpted and padded wood in the shapes of lace. Reach out for any additional questions.
