Midcentury Four Cushion Lawson Sofa in Jack Lenor Larsen Style Velvet

About the Item

Handsome long and lean midcentury four cushion Lawson style sofa. Upholstered in its original gorgeous Jack Lenor Larsen style abstract floral velvet fabric which is in fabulous vintage condition. This tight back sofa is clean and ready to use, circa 1950s. Quite a sight for sore eyes and extremely comfortable! This handsome sofa is covered in a gorgeous abstract floral velvet, which we are attributing to Jack Lenor Larsen, with a lovely coloration of cream, yellow, brown, and deep olive, it is simply stunning. Its midcentury low and long lines are enhanced by its tight back with button detail and its comfort by its spring down seat cushions. It sports the typical Lawson styling of arms which drop down slightly from the back height and a shortened arm length. It is supported by five handsome square tapered and grooved legs. You can’t go wrong with this extra-long sofa no matter your décor. It’s simple lines blend with and complement everything from Mid-Century Modern to traditional. A beautiful sofa that would be just the place for a long Sunday NAP. You need to make it yours. Gorgeous vintage mid-century modern turquoise Lawson style 4 cushion sofa attributed to Milo Baughman for James Inc. Comprised of four loose zippered seat cushions, six tapered walnut legs, and turquoise hopsacking fabric with back button detail. This piece has been attributed based upon archived research including online sources, vintage documentation and catalogs, designer literature, and other materials. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The sofa deck has new fabric plus a new dust cover. It also has its original arm covers. We repaired a button with fabric found on bottom. It has been professionally shampooed. Legs were refinished. The foam in the cushions is soft, however it could use some more padding and new zippers.
