Marcantonio turns one of the most iconographic animals into an ideal companion to get relaxed in outdoor areas. Big Kroko is a sofa with round lines, it spreads irony in the environment. Big Kroko is at the same time an industrial item and a sculpture, with references to Nature and contemporary art, thanks to its hinted but also unmistakable shape. Big Kroko is made in a new biobased plastic derived from sugar cane, a renewable source. SLIDE is the first company that use this new bioplastic material in the world of design, and the shades recall the natural colors of the Earth. Big Kroko is available also in an armchair version, Kroko, and it belongs to the Afrika collection. Our stories happen in places precious to us. SLIDE was born from the desire to produce furniture and light to create the perfect atmosphere that highlights emotions. Design is inspiration, surprise, joy. It's the amazement of seeing something unique for the first time. It's creating spaces to feel good and live surrounded by beauty. It means giving a personal imprint to indoor and outdoor spaces. It means choosing your ideal element that is the perfect setting for emotions and experiences, which become indelible memories. The founder Giò Colonna Romano knows this well, combining his fervent imagination with thirty years of know-how in the processing of plastic resins, giving birth to SLIDE in 2002. The first note of amazement is the luminous furniture, which immediately became a must have in the world of events. Since 2015, his son Marco Colonna Romano has taken over the reins of the company, with the same desire to grow and innovate as his father. Thanks to a new panache and the team of young people it surrounds itself with, SLIDE becomes a beloved company for outdoor furniture: new shapes, materials and tactile textures have won the hearts and ideas of architects and interior designers around the world. SLIDE has thus created complete collections and furnishings, with new shapes, whose lines arise from collaboration with internationally renowned designers of the caliber of Alessandro Mendini, Paola Navone, Stefano Giovannoni, Fabio Novembre, Marcel Wanders, Karim Rashid, Marc Sadler, Francesco Favaretto and Marcantonio. New materials were chosen and inserted, initially soft and rigid polyurethane, and then comfortable cushions, waterproof fabrics, tactile textures ideal for completing the polyethylene furnishings with taste and class. But SLIDE does not forget its first essence, lighting: in recent years it has developed a line of much more technical lamps for large areas, essential in shape but with great visual impact. For the first time, Slide has managed to give an artisanal twist to an industrial process: to meet the increasingly high demands of living, the production creates non-replicable shades, in which every small imperfection enhances the industrial process and makes each piece unique . Because Slide's strength has always been the careful reading of the market, the creation of something that didn't exist and which then became necessary: here Slide continues its production in Buccinasco, on the outskirts of Milan, but its name and its products reach more than 130 countries around the world.

Rare Sofa prototype by Marzio Cecchi Model Serpente with certificate
By Marzio Cecchi
Located in Milano, IT
Marzio Cecchi was an Italian designer of great talent and innovation who left an indelible mark on the world of design. He was an assiduous participant in the artistic and cultural movements of his time, and unfortunately died prematurely in a tragic car accident in New York. Prominent among his most iconic and futuristic achievements is the Serpente sofa prototype with certificate, a work of art consisting of several modules held together by a tube and totally swiveling. This sofa is extremely rare and has reached high quotations in the world's most important auction houses. We are dealing with a piece of exceptional importance, as it is a prototype that never entered the market and always belonged to the designer's family. The sofa is certified and documented and has a certain provenance. Moreover, it is in perfect original condition, never restored and carefully preserved in its original condition. A unique and extraordinary piece of historic Italian design of the 1900s, with great historical importance and with room for growth even at the investment level. The sofa is made of leather and consists of 6 modules for a total of 6 seats. It is a work of art of Italian...
