About the Item
This is a super-rare pair of matched Karges of Evansville, Indiana sofas in the Louis XV taste. The pair has a fantastic pair of frames that are hand-carved as Karges is world famous for. This company has been making furniture by hand for over 130 years in the USA and are one of the most expensive manufacturers in our history as a country. They spared no expense regarding quality materials and cost of labor to produce furniture for the White House, Royalty and Heads of state. The sofas are in good used condition and have minor signs of age and use and while used upholstery is rarely perfect, these are very clean and usable. They date to the 1970s era and would have costs as much as a decent new car at the time.
Measures 30.5 tall x 70.25 wide x 34.5 deep and seat heigh is approximately 18 inches.
