About the Item

Rarely seen on the market, this Esprit modular sofa was designed by Brunati and Zerbaro for Brunati in the 1980s. Its sculptural structure, with black lacquered wooden legs and curved armrests, is paired with a striking upholstery that combines warm ochre suede for the seat and a collage-like patterned fabric for the backrest. The abstract leaf motifs and earthy tones give the piece a rich visual texture, reflecting the bold character of Italian postmodern design. Composed of two independent modules, the sofa allows flexible arrangements and was published in Casa Vogue in 1988, underscoring its cultural significance. A highly sought-after piece for collectors of rare late 20th-century Italian design.
