Fantastic Pen Club sofa by Kwok Hoi Chan for Steiner, circa 1960's. This fashionable sofa features the geometric chrome plated tubular frame that is a trademark of Kwok Hoi Chan's designs. The frame is visible from all angles and the sofa floats in the frame creating stunning visual appeal. Upholstered in a vibrant patterned fabric highlighting shades of red, blue, and green creates an overall visual look of purple. 76" wide x 30" deep x 26" high.

Kwok Hoi Chan
Kwok Hoi Chan was an emblematic figure of international design who emigrated from Hong Kong to England and France. In France, he paired up with the Parisian manufacturer Steiner. Even though Chan was deeply invested in European and international design, he has always stayed loyal to his Chinese origins. His furniture resembles an imaginary alphabet borrowed from Chinese calligraphy. His trademark is a suspended tubular frame which is combined with an organic shaped seating.
