About the Item
Jean-Michel Wilmotte (b1948, Soissons, France) is an architect and designer. He graduated from the École Camondo before setting up the ‘Governor’ practice in Paris in 1975. Along with Ieoh Ming Pei, he was one of the original designers of the Doha museum commissioned by Hamad bin Khalifa, emir of Qatar, to house his collection of Islamic art. He also redesigned the Chiado Museum, Sainte-Catherine Street and the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Nîmes.
Wilmotte recently worked on the design of the new racetrack at Flins-Les Mureaux, north-east of Paris for the 2011 Formula One season.
This sofa, designed for Italian design giant Tecno, is a piece of design genius with each of the three back rests able to flip on the central pivot to create a reversible seating arrangement.
We also have the matching fitted side tables to go with each seat. These measure 35 cm high; 38 cm wide and 89 cm long
