As you will no doubt be aware by your interest in this Hans Hopfer masterpiece, Roche Bobois pieces are the epitome of contemporary European furniture design, are of peerless quality, and exhibit detailing and execution of an unrivalled standard. In a world of temporary pleasures, Roche Bobois create beautiful furniture that remains a joy forever, and there can be no-better expression of that philosophy than this doyen of the seating-world Dressed in these most-impressive, high-grade, tactile and decorative fabric options which, as you will see, possesses the vivid, striking appearance these pieces are famed for. Whilst being as robust and durable as rhino skin, the softness and texture of these fabrics is simply divine to the touch. A tactile-experience like few others. This piece is in superb, original, impeccably-maintained condition and, aside from a number of light, superficial but undoubtedly-noticeable marks to some sides of the seat-cushions, is as well-presented as is typical of these pieces, and still presents wonderfully as the images provided will confirm. A more wonderfully-executed example of modern, informal seating is difficult to imagine and, with all of the possibilities it offers configuration-wise, is a truly accomplished and talented all-rounder. In its current fantastic (but clearly imperfect) condition, it would almost-certainly fall-short of the requirements of the most-particular or the true-perfectionist but, for someone looking for a piece of high-design to position at the heart of family life, it is truly heaven sent! This superb piece possesses all the beauty and majesty of the finest contemporary furniture money can buy, and is dressed in some of the most unashamedly-luxurious and satisfying fabrics imaginable. This incredible suite consists of 9 ottoman-cushions (each measuring H-19cm x W-95cm and D-95cm), 3 backrests (with the rare multi-position function, as illustrated in the penultimate image provided where the backrest are in the "up" position to offer full head/neck support) and 1 corner-backrest and, honestly, can be employed however you see or prefer. As you will recognise from the images provided, we have chosen to double-cushion our seats (to achieve the most-likely seat-height to be used) and have created a 4-seat sofa and ottoman configuration (as we would possibly expect it to be used) but, in our experience, as many people choose to single-cushion the seats than do not (in order to provide huge-scale seating and create massive floor-coverage) too so, really, the possibilities are (almost) endless, and the decision as to how you use all of this exceptionally-flexible and practical seating is entirely yours. For reference, the configuration pictured measures H-72cm x D-180cm x W-275cm, with the second, longer configuration measuring 370cm wide, so hope this is helpful regarding understanding its scale. The breathtaking seating position this iconic modern-design creates is enhanced by the use of sumptuously comfortable, generously upholstered back and seat cushioning (which, as the images will confirm, is particularly soft and squishy), which leaves you powerless to resist its charms. Famously comfortable beyond compare.
