About the Item

An iconic 1970s ‘Sandra’ two-seat sofa designed by Annie Hiéronimus for Cinna after she joined the Roset Bureau d'Etudes in 1976. Constructed from foam, this sofa has a solid, sculptural form that is fully upholstered in warm, caramel hued fabric. The upholstery features thick ribbed detailing – enhancing the soft curves of the silhouette. Maker’s mark present on underside. France, 1970s. The Roset Company, which owns and manages the Ligne Roset and Cinna brands, is based in France, in the heart of the Ain département and more exactly in its southernmost part, named the Bugey. Summer and winter, this is a region of green tourism, gastronomy and conviviality. It was here that Antoine Roset, the great grandfather of current owners and directors Pierre and Michel Roset and Bernard Lipp, set up his small business in 1870. A coordinating lounge chair is also available Here. Condition: Good overall vintage condition. Light staining in one area and minor discoloration near the base, as shown in photos.
