Sheraton English Carved Mahogany Upholstered Sofa circa 1820
About the Item
This very rare English mahogany Sheraton sofa features a slight curve to the back with graceful scrolled arms terminating in fluted upper legs and typical Sheraton turned feet. Circa 1820, it is beautifully upholstered in a stunning green velvet with a darker green flocked pattern. It is hard to get the true color in an image but if you view the closeups of the fabric you will see the material is in wonderful condition, very even and shows no fading.
Brass nail heads on front, back and all sides, brass casters on the six legs. Very sturdy and comfortable with the look of a museum piece.
