About the Item

A Swedish 18th century Gustavian banquette with its original hand-scraped, painted finish. The solidly constructed frame makes for a sheltering sofa as well, with a removable bench seat cushion upholstered in a neutral linen material in the same tone of the paint. A hidden platform underneath slides out, cleverly transforming this Swedish sofa into a small trundle bed. Be sure to view the detailed images to see the current condition of this unique design. Note the backside is unfinished. Seat height: 18 ¼”, Bed dimensions: 36” x 64.5”
