We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning fully restored Victorian hand dyed cigar brown leather serpentine fronted Chesterfield Tufted club sofa after Howard & Son's of Berners Street This sofa is as rare as they come, it’s a period original Victorian which is rare in its self however being a serpentine curved front model it is as rare as hens teeth, I’ve seen maybe two of these in all my years. The frame is Walnut as you can see from the wonderfully turned legs It is Horse hair padded, the seat platform is coil sprung, the leather has been fully restored to include a wash back hand dyed and seal so its ready for the next family, the woodwork has all been French polished I have a matching pair of original Howard & Son's in this exact model listed under my other items, they are £55,000 for the pair Dimensions Height 69cm Width 199.5cm Depth 94.5cm Seat height:- 45.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
