A Vintage Chesterfield Leather Sofa, France c.1960
About the Item
We are delighted to offer this stunning original circa 1960's, very comfortable, fully coil sprung, hand-dyed saddle brown leather club sofa with Chesterfield tufting and exposed nail heads. A very well made, decorative and extremely comfortable sofa, a quintessentially English library piece (though French made) but suitable for great rooms and casual spaces, generally. The leather has been re-dyed a handsome rich brown over a lighter shade. Springs and webbing are in good condition. the result is textured and sophisticated. The condition is quite good, with only minor abrasions and scuffs adjacent to the rear legs and some worn, gently textured areas on the shoulder.
