About the Item
Here is a rare 3-seat sofa by J & J Brook Limited, purchased originally in 1962. The design firm of John and Joanne Brook was based in Toronto, Canada from about 1952 to 1976. The Brooks were known at first for their textiles, but later introduced furniture designs of their own. This sofa is much in the vein of designs by Florence Knoll , George Nelson, Mies van der Rohe, etc. It has been newly upholstered in a soft brushed twill olive-green fabric sitting atop a sleek chrome base. The fixed back cushions ensure a consistently clean look. The sofa is heavy and very well made. It measures 77" W x 30" H x 30" D. Please note that we have a matching lounge chair available as well!
