About the Item

This three-seater sofa was made by the Swedish manufacturer Bröderna Anderssons during the 1950s. The sofa is upholstered with a high-quality material in a noble red color. It is an example of an old craft school, where the frame and armrests are filled with seagrass. The seat cushions are springy and very comfortable. The couch legs are made of light brown beech wood. The organic shape reflects the designs of the Mid-Century Modern era. Bröderna Anderssons is a family business founded in 1946 by three brothers: Sven, Inge and Max Andersson. What characterizes Bröderna Anderssons tradition more than anything else is Swedish quality, craftsmanship and pride in creating each piece of furniture. The secret to the success of these artisans lies in traditional handicrafts. At Bröderna Anderssons, the entire production chain is kept in the manufactory. From the choice of wood types, through our own frame production, to the last seam. This sofa is in original vintage condition. One leg has traces after gluing. It has light fading and discoloration on the fabric and the unevenness due to use the natural material under the upholstery. The seat height is 40 cm. The manufactory's signature is on the underside.

Rounded out lines, unexpected curvature and innovative shapes from every angle define the design of this model. The aesthetic recalls classic English upholstered furniture...
