Willo Perron Sausage Sofa For Bd Barcelona The Sausage Sofa is BD’s latest addition by designer Willo Perron. First released in a limited edition in collaboration with Our Legacy Workshop, it now comes upholstered in two fabric types—velvet and canvas—and a wide range of colors. This excessive, sexy and bold sofa has been imagined as a playground area for children and adults. Dimensions and technical drawing MODEL 11 M 1100 x 70 cm 434 x 27,6 in The sofa is internally divided into 2M (20kg) cylindrical cushions made of Buata and joined together with zippers. The upholstery can be made in various fabrics and leathers from BD collection. Each inner cushion is individually vacuum packed in 60x60x90cm. He's known for creating solid concepts and unique realizations that catch the eye. After working at Apple, he founded his company, Willo Perron and Associates. His multidisciplinary studio, Perron-Roettinger, which he co-founded with Brian Roettinger, has worked for brands such as Adidas and Stussy, and their designs have been showcased at numerous international fairs. Perron's designs are recognized for their use of scale, simplicity of forms and the use of space, which plays a crucial role in shaping the final form of his designs. He has worked on various audiovisual projects for high-profile artists like Kanye West (including the creation of Yeezy Studio and the staging of his live shows), Lady Gaga, and Rihanna, among others. His studio's work is strongly influenced by Bauhaus thinking, approaching each project from a total art perspective, where all disciplines are involved in the final product, from industrial design to marketing. In 2024, Perron will participate in the World Sports Creativity Sessions program during the Paris Olympic Games, which will reinforce the hybrid vision of design's importance to the progress and influence of the sports industry. Some of Perron's designs, such as the Sausage sofa and the FKA bed, will be part of SIDE Gallery's impressive collection of iconic designs. About The Manufacturer: We are an international design company run by a collective ownership —Apartamento Magazine (Nacho Alegre, Omar Sosa, Marco Velardi), Taller Bofill (Pablo Bofill, Ricardo Bofill, Luna Paiva, Hernán Cortés, Fernando de la Mata), and Igor Urdampilleta from Arquitectura-G— all architects, publishers and designers. Along with one of the founders, Oscar Tusquets, this group fosters the same nonconformist spirit BD has had since its beginnings. Our independence as a company fuels our intentions and supports this purpose. We are now expanding our design dialogue to delve into diverse realms of creativity, in design and in everything we do. BD has been around for over half a century. It was founded in a nightclub in 1972 by a bunch of young architects and designers from Barcelona. They broke into the design world with a new vision: to produce and market their designs, and the designs of their friends with complete creative freedom and design criteria. Beginning with the designs of contemporaries like Ettore Sottsass, Rennie Mackintosh and Álvaro Siza, BD provoked a curiosity about design.
