About the Item

18th century oak joint stool from England with a single plank top with pegged construction. This follows down to a hand carved apron with nulling decoration and supported on hand turned and slightly splayed legs. The legs are fluted as well, and are joined by simple stretchers, which are also hand carved decorated. The stool is an unusual square shape, which would be useful as a stool or side table beside a chair.
