About the Item

18th century, Four Italian Lacquered Wood Stools Measurements: W 45 x D 45 x H sitting 50. H underlay band 35 cm These elegant stools were made in Piedmont, Italy, in the Neoclassical era, towards the end of the eighteenth century. Their structure is in carved wood and lacquered in shades of ochre and ivory white. The band under the seat consists of linear carved frames, with geometric quadrangular and circular patterns near the corners. The legs are characteristic of the neoclassical style, with an inverted cone trunk and grooved. They originate from a circular capital and end with a half-sphere foot. These stools or benches are very decorative, suitable to be placed in any room, next to a wall, placed under a painting, or next to sofas and armchairs. They can also be placed at the foot of a bed or placed in an entrance. Not easy to find on the market in the number four. The stuffing in horsehair is original. They have been reupholstered recently.
