About the Item

This is a Duplex Multi-Color Bar Stool, designed by Javier Mariscal and Pepe Cortes for B.D. Ediciones de Diseno in 1980. This example dates to the 1980s and was produced in Barcelona, Spain. The colorful tubular steel legs on this piece scream Memphis. The round cushioned seat is upholstered in black vinyl, so as not to detract from the sculptural base of the stool. The piece is solid and sits level, and does indeed function as a bar stool should. This stool measures 15.5 inches in diameter, and is 33 inches high. There are some white spots on the seat, and there are some light black scuffs on the legs. Overall, this bar stool is in very good condition. Please see photos.
