Pair of English 19th Century Ebonized Bobbin Stools with Custom Linen Upholstery
Located in Atlanta, GA
This pair of 19th-century English stools combines classic craftsmanship with updated upholstery, offering both character and versatility. The ebonized wood frames highlight the sculptural beauty of bobbin-turned legs, a design element that adds a rhythmic elegance to their profile. The stretchers reinforce the structure, ensuring both visual balance and lasting durability.
The seats have been reupholstered in custom linen, a natural fabric chosen for its elegant texture and subtle warmth. A row of nailhead trim outlines the perimeter, providing a tailored finish that enhances the contrast between the dark frame and the soft, neutral-toned seat. This combination of intricate woodwork and fresh upholstery allows the stools to bridge traditional and contemporary aesthetics with ease.
These stools make an excellent addition to a variety of interiors. Use them in a living room as stylish extra seating, tuck them under a console for a functional yet decorative touch, or place them at the foot of a bed to introduce a sense of symmetry. Their compact form allows them to be easily moved from one space to another, offering both charm and practicality. Whether incorporated into a classic setting or paired with modern furnishings for a collected look, this pair of English bobbin stools...

1 Mid-Century Eames H Miller Fiberglass Arm Shell Chair Walnut Moderna Stool
By Herman Miller, Charles Eames
Located in Pasadena, TX
Charles and Ray married in 1941 and moved to California where they continued their furniture design work with molding plywood. During the war they were commissioned by the Navy to produce molded plywood splints, stretchers and experimental glider shells. In 1946, Evans Products began producing the Eameses' molded plywood furniture. Their molded plywood chair was called "the chair of the century" by the influential architectural critic Esther McCoy. Soon production was taken over by Herman Miller, Inc .,who continues to produce the furniture in the United States to this day. Another company, Vitra International, manufactures the furniture in Europe. The Eameses continued to create new furniture designs into the 1970s.
